Update from the Columbia Basin Bulletin
We're back at full power and ready to grow
Dear Member,
First and always, thank you for your support of the Columbia Basin Bulletin. We have been reporting on the Columbia Watershed for 26 years and have accumulated an historical journalistic record containing nearly 12,000 articles. This continued effort is only possible through your commitment and generosity.

Plans for the Future
We have a lot of exciting ideas for the future:
Job Board: The Columbia Basin Bulletin job board will be launching soon! We are working with the job board provider to make it as tightly focused as possible on career opportunities that are most relevant to our members. Know of a job description you would like to see on the board? Let us know at what kinds of jobs you would like to see at [email protected]
Website Redesign: columbiabasinbulletin.org will be getting a brand new design that will bring more widely varied content to the homepage, making it easier to navigate the site and to find the articles that matter most to you, along with a functionality upgrade that will make it easier to manage your membership.
Non-Profit Status: The Columbia Basin Bulletin is partnering with a non-profit organization, the Earthwise Knowledge Initiative, and therefore will be a part of a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Memberships, donations and sponsorships will be tax deductible, and the Columbia Basin Bulletin and Earthwise Knowledge Initiative will function as a fiscal sponsor for worthy journalistic, educational, scientific and environmental projects. If you have a project and need a non-profit fiscal sponsor, please let us know at [email protected].
Student Journalism Consortium: We are raising funds to develop and operate an exciting new partnership with colleges and university journalism departments all over the Columbia Watershed. The consortium will help student journalists gain skills and experience, and help them become the next generation of journalists reporting on the ground about local problems, issues, and solutions from various localities from all over the Columbia River Watershed. Stay tuned for opportunities to help us kick off this exciting project!
